Thanks Polly. The village is amazingly well kept. Pretty much all of it, including the very pretty playground and main streets are always spotlessly clean.

Funny. The Maire has been around for a very long time, nearly 20 years if memory serves (and it may not).

Most folks keep their gardens very neat round here. There are a few that don't.

We have two houses beside us. One of the left of us and one on the right. Rolling hills behind all of us, tiny road in front of all of us. The house on the right of us is a maison secondaire and their garden is a bit bigger than ours, so I know it is a big job, but they leave it looking like a wild, unkept mess. Every now and then they'll mow or strim a tiny portion and leave the rest a meter high. I don't think I could enjoy leaving it like that, but we are all different. They must have their reasons. It would be so pretty if they maintained it a bit.

Very green our garden, lots of nettle and ronce, they think they are unstoppable. I'm inclined to believe them after too many years of a mind over matter approach. Roses and the robinia are doing their best to offer a form of compensation.

Very pretty. Never heard of Robinia, but I'm pretty sure I've seen it round here. Just didn't know what it was called.
