At 9-30 this morning I bit the bullet, got the mower ready & wazzed around the bumpy lawns as fast I my back would stand it.
By 10-30 I was back inside having achieved a rough but OK job.
That must have beaten my previous record.
I've got about 0.25 hectare minus flower beds of garden grass to mow so probably about 0.2ha of grass. With my 0.95m cut Stiga frontal mower it's possible to make a neat job of trimming around the many flower beds but that takes time & didn't get done this morning.Doug wrote: ↑Tue Jun 13, 2023 3:30 pm L Austin France,
Lucky you to get it done so quick.
With our 3/4 of a hectare I used to do it in one go during half a day.
Now in my old age and after a hip replacement I mow in three separate stages.
For the last five years Ive left a third till autumn for all the wild things including hundreds of wild archids.
When it's very wet my farmer neighbour cuts it with his tractor then it all goes onto a massive compost heap.
