I think the blossom is as good as it’s ever been this year

So many colours everywhere, including jubilant yellow. The sun keeps shining even after dark.

Me too, Lori ! Everything looks so green and fresh. It's still early days up here in the frozen north but spring is just round the corner.

I have an intruder in the garden this year, which older son has identified as a nectarine tree - no doubt a stone dumped in a "rubbish" area, but very pretty. Sorry, no photos.

Walnuts do not produce obvious flowers - at least not ours. They are there but anything other than a close up would not really show them. Much like the hazel we have (Harry Lauder's walking stick - contorted hazel) The male catkins are very obvious but the flowers are around 1mm red spots on the branch axials and very easy to miss - I think (hope) I have this year because no sign now of the flowers even though the catkins are still there.
