From the article, it would appear that "Only seven clubs' squads are more than 50% fully vaccinated, so we have a way to go."

The German (Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp) says he was jabbed to protect not just himself but "all the people around me".
"I don't understand why that is a limitation of freedom," he said. "Because if it is, then not being allowed to drink and drive is a limitation of freedom as well - but we accept that.

Perhaps other managers should follow his example !

I agree with him - sad that players are not so switched on.

If we end up with "Plan B" then anyone attending a match must have a vaccination certificate in the event of a winter surge. This should apply to players as well as the crowd.

Sadly we have a government in the UK with one rule for the plebs and one for the VIPs - as we saw in UEFA Cup finals - so the players will doubtless get a pass (although I note that Qatar won't take any truck for next year's World Cup)

I do not see it as a greater restraint on trade than we see currently with Care Home Staff.

But I still do not think vaccines should be mandatory - provided everyone is aware of the consequences of their actions in not having them - people must be free to control their own bodies.

Totally agree J. It's working here in France by creating limitations if you are not vaccinated. We've had several people through the vaccination centre who said they were against being vaccinated but that they found they couldn't do certain activities, including working, without a pass sanitaire.
But are football clubs likely suspend players who refused to be vaccinated ? I doubt it.

The trouble is that they're claiming control over the lives of others - the evidence is now incontrovertible: the non-vaccinated pass on covid to others who, if they're 'vulnerable', may end up in ICU or dead. Witness the mess in Guyane and Guadeloupe, where superstition is ending the lives of an obese population.

We have in our commune a young couple (to us ) he has just been cleared of colin cancer after three years fighting it and now has very low immunity, yesterday heard that she refuses to have the covid jab.
A big surprise as she has been so supportive during his illness
