BBC missing

#21 Post by L Austin France »

As my previous post we've 2 Humax Foxsat HDR boxes connected to 1 dish with 4 way LNB.
One box has automatically changed ch 101 to our preferred postcode's local BBC 1 channel in HD.
The other, whilst having the same postcode, shows, on ch 106, that 'BBC one HD has moved to 101',but all programmes of 101 is blanked out in colour orange & still shows the old BBC 1 SD local channel on left hand side channel lists. When OK is entered the tv shows 'no or bad signal'. interestingly, all of the diagnostics for this channels tuners shows 0% but 90/100% strength / quality on other channels.
Both boxes show last updates in 2012.
Anyone any ideas what's going on?

Do you leave the boxes in stand-by overnight?

Yes. Never turn 'em off completely.

@L Austin France
Are you running Raydon's software on the second box?
If so you may need to do some manual reconfiguration.

Thanks for interest elsie.
Both boxes are running what I assume to be the original software. One bought
new & one 2nd hand with origin unknown. The 2nd hand box is the one that has accepted the changes.
Both boxes have Loader version U 7.54 . The 'accepting' 2nd hand box has software version HPRSFCI 1.00.20 whereas the 'bought new box has HPRSFCI 1.00.21. Both have system ID 3768.0000.
I can live with the 'non accepting' box as it's just a matter of scrolling to list of regional channels in the 900's to find it on 962 but I'd love to know why I've this problem.

This is the schedule for the regional changes (from https://cleanfeed.thetvroom.com/16611/n ... timetable/)
So it is possible your regions have not yet changed. When that happens the meta data will (should) be updated to the correct channel positions

Schedule
23rd/24th January: South and Northern Ireland.
30th/31st January: East and East Midlands.
6th/7th February: West Midlands, East Yorkshire/Lincolnshire and Wales. BBC Alba will also launch in HD.
13th/14th February: West, South West, Channel Islands and London. BBC RB1 will also launch in HD.
20th/21st February: North East and Cumbria, North West, Yorkshire and Scotland. BBC Parliament will also launch in HD.
22nd/23rd February: South East.
