I never take good weather for granted this time of year - we had blizzards one year at Easter.

@Char same here this was taken 12 March a few years back but we do tend to get snow in March every year be it a sprinkling or a full on duvet. One year we had a very warm beginning to March and bought 2 adirondaks. The seller asked us to send photos so we dressed down, took a deep breath and smiled sitting in the chairs shivering in feet of snow - I luv snow

With this hand, I will lift your sorrows. Your cup will never be empty, for I will be your wine. With this candle, I will light your way into darkness. With this ring, I ask you to be mine.........The Corpse Bride

No piccie I'm afraid, but sitting in the garden this morning, I'd just finished reading a biography of Dipa Ma and put the kindle down and was enjoying the last of my cup of coffee whilst watching a blackbird collecting worms for its young, when low an behold a Hoopoe flew down in front of me and started walking around pecking at the ground. I've never seen one that close before - it looked like it should have been in a Fred Flintstone cartoon.
I'm still smiling about it now.

Lucky you, Char ! We don't get them here, sadly. We used to see them regularly at the last place because we were surrounded by forest ....

I can never resist these, such a beautiful colour. La Cétoine dorée or rose chafer (I had to look up the English for it
)
