Awwwww ..... she'll have to get used to doing her business in a slightly different way ....
Courage to all of you !
Vets can do wonders today, but ligaments generally take longer to mend than bones. The cruciate ligament can be very painful in humans ... and dogs ?

Yes it is just as painful as in humans , and equally important . Fortunately I have a friend from Wales over staying at her house in the Village and she is helping with Vet visits and sitting with Bella from time to time.

Vets on Monday for a check up and removal of bandages.

Will she have to be in some sort of attelle ? I worked with a gendarme who was in a full leg length "removable" attelle so he could walk around but with a straight leg. Not easy for sitting down ....
It will be hard for Bella being a hind leg ....

Not sure @Blaze, but it wasn't on the Ordonnance......my vet sent me 50km north of here , to Bourges , for the surgery......I have been given an instruction sheet for the next few months, so I already have a lot of questions for Monday...

Good luck GAO !
We've never had Bella's problem but were sent to a specialist surgeon in Angers for an elbow dysplasia op on one of our Aussies. There are some really superb vets here, we've been fortunate to find them.
