They are beautiful Blaze,
Are they much bigger than Boarder Collies?

Char Ours are not as chunky as some and are about the same size as BCs. They seem to keep their coats in very good condition but when they moult you could stuff a mattress 🤣

Tell me about it, my Beauceron Jules, sheds thick fur continually, I brush it into corners for a while and then chuck it in between the trees for the birds to use for nesting.
He is crossed with a Dobermann really, but his coat is definitely Beaucie, just like my previous 2 Beaucies, Harper Grace and Ramona. Lovely cuddly dogs though. ;) :D

 I used to put our dogs fur from the combs and brushes out for the birds - we find lots of old bird nests in the garden that have been lined with lovely warm doggie fur. 8-)

The other place you can put dog fluff etc is in fat ball feeders ! If you can get hold of horses' mane or tail hair, birds love it !

What a great idea. Jakie's got far more tail than he needs. I'll trim it. Do you put it in with the grease balls or dedicate an empty feeder to the hair?

In an empty feeder. I put a mixture of dog, horse, moss, bits of long grass and they seem to like it because it soon goes. Sheep wool, if you have it, goes down well as do small feathers !
