oh la stress!

This morning we took the two kittens to the vet to be snipped & chipped. All was going well - no wailing and then one decided to break out of jail and proceed to investigate every nook & cranny of the car! I was trying to capture her and just as we arrived at the main village she decided to jump over my seat and investigate the windscreen I just managed to grab here when a vehicle containing two gendarmes was coming towards us - phew I don't think they noticed. The when we got to vets we had to get her back into the carrier she'd burst out of which after some minutes we did managed to re secure the grill to the box and get them both into the vets. All we have to do now is pick them up somewhere between 3pm & 6pm - I think we'll go just after 3pm as hopefully they'll be still be in dream mode. I thought that would be the end of it as about 13 years ago our older cat had stitches that dissolved but this time we have to take them back in two weeks time to have their stitches removed!

Can't imagine how the Vet deals with this.

@Lori thanks - vet asked OH to press her hard on the table whilst he did the injection - I had already told him that she was 'savage' he injected her put her my arms and within a very short time she was asleep. The other one I'd said was very gentle - no claws, no biting. Whilst the vet was injecting the other one I stuck my fingers through the bars and was talking to her - suddenly she grabbed my fingers with her claws and embarrassingly I let out a rather large yelp both OH & vet found that extremely amusing! The vet didn't want our assistance with the second but as we left we noticed another vet entering the room!
