Kicking the cat, not the football
West Ham and French national team player Kurt Zouma thought it was OK to mistreat a cat and post a video of his deed on Snapchat.
West Ham thought it was OK to play him in a match after this was reported in the press. Gary Lineker amongst others was appalled by the Club's decision to play him.
Zouma gets booed by away fans and his own supporters, what a surprise!
A West Ham sponsor is considering their position.
The RSPCA has removed his cats and is liasing with Essex police.
PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) in Francehave called for him to be removed from the French national squad.
Let's hope the cats are found a loving home, I bet the RSPCA gets loads of calls so maybe some other cats might get a home too.

How do people live without at least one dog in the house?

It's appalling that someone thinks ill-treating an animal is something to share with others.

He might be prosecuted in France as he is a French citizen .. following the change in the law last year.
Even though the incident happened abroad.

Two weeks wages - 4% of his salary - leaving him only 96% (before taxes).
And I suspect that was more in response to the backlash than the offence.

I hadn't realised he'd uploaded the video himself. Wattawanka! He won't do that again in a hurry.
The RSPCA say they're looking after the cats for the time being.

Being a cat lover I am so pleased he's been fined and that the money is going to animal charities. Bet he daren't put a foot back in France.

It sounds as though whoever was filming the video could barely contain their laughter. I know what I'd like to do to the pair of them ...........
