What's for Dinner?
Just finished slicing our flitch of bacon, maple cured, and then a 6hrs Oak smoking yesterday, so 126 Rashers on a number 4 setting, so slightly thicker than we usually have, so bacon butties for Mondays breakfast

Here it's U.S.A. style Beef Stew using the outstanding Beef cuts from our local butcher, fresh carrots, potatoes, onions, garlic and fresh dried thyme from our garden.

Tonight it's salmon pasta with lemon based on https://www.bbcgoodfood.com/recipes/sal ... mon-capers.
Instead of fresh salmon I use a couple of tins of Lidl/Aldi Les Doris Filet de Saumon Sauce Citron warmed up a bit before mixing in, omit the lemon zest & use Farfalle pasta 'cos the sauce sticks nicely to it & we like it. Note; the quantity of pasta in the recipe is nowhere near enough. I treble it for 4 meals.
A bit of shredded red cabbage adds a nice crunch but tonight it's Endive as there's nothing else.
It's a really tasty, mostly store cupboard, meal.

Sounds good LAF.
We've had the first true sunny day in what seems like forever. Nice temperature at 15 degrees. Worked in the garden.
Tonight's dinner is steaks on the grill with split potatoes also cooked on the grill and a big salad. In celebration of the sun !!

Well it is Easter. So we're having roasted leg of lamb (with home made mint sauce), freshly made tabouli, lemon/feta roasted potatoes and home made almond cake for dessert. A few deviled eggs for good measure - it is an Easter tradition.
What's everyone else having?

Fish fingers, baked beans and rostis! We'll have a "proper" meal when more family are here next weekend.
