Thanks for that. I will still have to find out when I have to renew the various other items.....or just avoid the roadside checks.
On my headstone it will say: Please switch off mobile phones. I'm trying to get some sleep.

Looking back I think I was restricted by the transfer of some of the categories of the UK licence .. I remember being told that I would need a medical at 5 years to continue those categories. I didn't want to, so new licence without those groups.
I applied for a renewal on the Ants site and my new permit has arrived. This time with a 15 year expiration. Surprising that 4 Gendarmes didn’t know the facts.
Sue have you ever thought about enlisting ?

My personal experience of gendarmes is that many do not know the law. Perhaps they prefer not to?
