Lighthouse

#1 Post by Blaze »

The Phare d'Eckmühl at Penmarc'h, Finistère has wonderful views from the top ... and a beautiful staircase. The opaline tiles on the internal walls reflect the light in a magical way.
Unfortunately I had to shrink the photo to 700 x 466 pixels and 72 resolution before the photo was accepted :(

Wow, thank you, OBR. Your photos are wonderful, a great inspiration to get out more with my camera !
I've registered with picr.de which will make life much easier to upload photos here - it takes the guesswork out of resizing photos.

As far as results go, I try to make as many adjustments in camera to avoid too much post processing. However .... your treatments give spectacular results to your old buildings ! HDR is great for bringing out the tones. It's amazing how a little enhancement can make such a difference.

@ Blaze, welcome to the picr club. It takes indeed the quesswork out of resizing photos and you can also publish documents in pdf format. Translated from German: " PicR.de is the free and super-fast image upload service for uncomplicated uploading and posting of photos and graphics in online forums. Picr.de delivers images faster than most private websites could - and the BBCode for forums is already generated. "
