Odd that.. The Free 2€ a month abonnements do not include data. Perhaps you were connected with a wifi in the waiting room?

Dunno but it worked.

To test I've just turned off wifi & used 2€ Free mobile network on my phone to successfully buy, using my gift card balance, & download a new book from Amazon to my Kindle library.
Odd that

It would all depend what data allowance you've got, wouldn't it? My Sosh forfait is pitiful at 100mbs per month. 2024 could well be the year that I defect :D

Yet, without checking, you stated catagorically that "The Free 2€ a month abonnements do not include data"

Even more amazing: the giant steps in only 70 years, this incredible technology development. From valves, to discrete transistors, logic ic's, the famous 7400 series, inside the first IBM XT personal computer a lot of these memory ic's to go to the max of 640 K internal memory, ever increasing memory sizes to cope with Windows 7 etc. operating systems. And dazzling speeds for our computers and smartphones.

Looking back in wonder...
