Françoise Bornet will forever be remembered as the woman in Robert Doisneau's Baiser de l'Hôtel de Ville. She was the embodiment of French love in the 1950s, Paris, spring in a nutshell. Long anonymous, the woman posing in this world famous photograph won recognition in the courts in the 1990s.
