That was a big OOPS then! Aptly named, causing global chaos ..... But it was nice not to see any vapour trails in the sky today! :D

The trails will reappear quickly.

Microsoft must be a bit pissed off. They got all the early blame but it really had little to do with them.

There is a lesson to be learned in there somewhere.

Yes.
That even Linux users aren't safe.
On my headstone it will say: Please switch off mobile phones. I'm trying to get some sleep.

Doesn’t matter which operating system you use if you let a third party install boot level stuff then be prepared for the worst.

To be fair, the way Unix-based systems (including Macs) load drivers is different from Windows.

But "blame Microsoft" is the easiest for news reporters - and it is often correct

I saw one piece in the live reporting about using that old favourite "have you tried turning it off and on again"! Apparently rebooting 15 (yes, that's fifteen!) times could clear the bug! :crazy:

It does indeed clearly show - from the IT's new "goldenboy" company, that it has the whole world in it's hands.....


Seems chillingly accurate! :shock:
