Sheep hunting

#1 Post by RobertArthur »

Fox hunting banned in the UK, a warm welcome to sheep hunting elsewhere.

This morning in the Dutch press:

' Sheep farmer Gert van de Bor deploys his 1,400 sheep as ‘lawnmowers’ across the province of Utrecht. But since he has had to deal with several attacks by wolves on his animals, he is worried. How does he maintain his flock? Since June this year, he has lost nearly ninety sheep. ‘The first time was the toughest.’

Wolves around Utrecht?

More likely sheep rustling or stray dogs.

Maybe the compensation is greater if you lose an animal to a wolf attack?

Cynical? Moi?

Yes, wolves, and yes, attacks, and yes, compensation. More information Veluwe National Park and another update.
