Post Office inquiry
The PO has Crown Offices. These are large city based POs that are run directly by PO staff unlike the sub post offices which are run by private individuals. Both types run the Horizon system yet no shortfalls occurred in the Crown offices. Could be due to better training, better comms. Seems odd

How do you know that no shortfalls occurred at crown offices?
What would be the source of that information?
The PO?
The same PO that told sub-postmasters that they alone had a problem and the Horizon system was sound?

I would think Crown offices would have been treated as part of the head office system and errors probably investigated properly and/or written off.
My wife worked at a sub office in the 1990's and early 2000's. Three successive postmaster were prosecuted! Really, three crooks? The one consistency was the Horizon system.
All of them seemed decent people and everyone was surprised. My wife said it was awful when the investigators walked in and closed the office.
Understandably they all "disappeared" although we know one was imprisoned.
The people responsible were vile and hopefully they will be made to pay.

She was shamed into it - if she’d chosen to hand it back before the public uproar and 1 million plus people signed the petition demanding that she must have the honour removed, it might have meant something. As she didn’t it means absolutely nothing. I was very happy to sign the petition.
However, she can renounce her CBE but that means nothing unless the forfeiture committee advises King Charles to remove the CBE and he needs to accept their advice. I really hope that he takes their advice very soon.

Let us hope that, at least, the Post Office can reclaim all her bonuses and extras.
However, one thing that the ITV series did not cover was the role of her predecessor who, according to a whistleblower today, was at the helm when problems first came to light. I wonder why (rhetorical question).
And maybe the politician in charge of the Post Office who oversaw much of the problem and then joined the law firm Herbert Smith Freehills (HSF) to help the Post Office fight the Post Masters will be next to return his honour.

Now it seems Fujitsu are coming into the spotlight. The architect who gave evidence Mr Jenkins seems to be selected as the fall guy. He has been due to give evidence at the inquiry. On the eve of each occasion he has been due to give evidence the PO have found additional documents which are relevant to his testimony- the last time 3800 documents. This causes the judge to postpone the hearing. Could it be the PO doesn’t want him to give evidence?
