I have just advertised my mini digger and the buyer wants to come Thursday and transfer the money to either my French or English bank using a Revolute card, is this guaranteed

Personally I would check with my Bank and ask when they say it will be cleared. When I sold a car I checked with my bank and they said when a virement arrives in the account it is not necessarily cleared immediately and could be recalled. However, they offered to check with their international dept in Bordeaux who would be able to confirm and at that moment it could not be reversed.
Just my experience with Banque Populaire.

I'd take the cash (and the buyer) to the bank to make sure the cash is legit, before letting the digger go.

I have a Revolut card which I can use in multiple currencies.Just ask for his IBAN and check it out. They are a real bank.

As has been pointed out the transaction cannot legally take place as a cash sale. I would ask him to pay the money into your account either with his Revolut card or a bank transfer then allow him to pick up the digger once your bank confirms the transfer cannot be recalled.
