Should he be beatified ?

#1 Post by Blaze »

Forgive me for being a sceptic, but just how did a 15 year old achieve the miracle cures referred to in this BBC article ?
https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/cd11kyy58dgo

He may well have been a talented young man in his knowledge of computer technology, and a devout believer in the RC teachings. But I find the attributing of the recovery of two people to his on-line influencing hard to swallow.
People near death do occasionally have a "miraculous" recovery, but can these recoveries really be put down to the divine intervention (not even healing hands) of a 15 year old across the ethernet ?

Sometimes things happen in medicine which are unexplainable I don’t think a 15 year old on a computer miles away will be responsible

Let the men in frocks do what they like - this is all PR for a corrupt and failed organisation. As a cradle catholic, I'm damned if I'll apologise to thçose who (still) believe: I believe I know where the bodies are buried.

Marketing - youngsters aren't going to church and the Pope sitting on his pile of gold doesn't want to lose it all. So what better than a handsome 15 year old boy as a 'poster boy' to encourage the young to part with their cash when they're older.
Some might ask, if the young lad was so important to the old guy sitting on a cloud, why did he die so young?

What a load of old balony! I concur with all the above, and would say if he was that gifted - how come he couldn't heal himself? I guess that's "not allowed".

Nope, not buying it!

Maybe God had an IT problem he just couldn't get his head around. Lost all the stuff he stored in the cloud perhaps?
