Sad. Another icon of the 60s gone. She picked herself up from the gutter in the 70s and carved herself another career.

Some remarkable restraint shown on this forum......I first heard of her when I was about 10-12 years old , and I had to ask for an explanation. :shock:

She led a remarkable life, starting as a young singer, going through drugs and living on the street to becoming a successful actress, stage and film and continuing to sing. One of life's fighters.
