The river Elbe right now: + 2.5 m higher than normal. Rising expectations: + 4.5 or even + 5 m this evening. How to protect the old inner city of Dresden, will this be enough?

that’s funny, my friend is supposed to going on a works outing to Prague tomorrow. I told her to take her thermals but perhaps she should take a life jacket instead!

@ Headers, in the south western part of Poland a barrage dam has broken through with devastating consequences. The Czech Republic, the rain keeps falling. For your friend: a helicopter is probably a better idea than a life jacket.
