The State pensions - OAP - are, bizarrely, detailed as 'privé'. Which can be confusing.
And a local authority pension - teaching etc - comes under 'public'.

Exactly, in fact I was misinformed last year by the Inspector and have just realized.
He said it was privé and I declared as such.
Not sure what the difference is?
Does it mean it is assumed it will be taxed in the uk (when it isn't) ?
Sorted now.

Hopefully a last question.
On the 2047 when declaring dividends from investments it is indicated in the guide to quote 17.7% tax; But no tax is paid on dividends in the UK
So according to the guide, on the figure quoted in 203 the 17.7% result is transferred to 8VL (and 8PL as well ?).

Send it and avoid the fines. you have lots of time to correct it once you have solved your concerns.

Am I to assume that the deadline for filling in tax return has now passed, never filled them in before as we always went to the local impots with a list of our pensions / income, in sterling and let them convert and enter the figures. Obviously that avenue is now closed as we departed France this year.

Yes, the deadline for filling in tax return has now passed!
I think you should have enough information from your assessments for previous years to be able to log on to the online web site https://www.impots.gouv.fr/accueil and then Connexion à mon espace Finances publiques at the top. From there you can send a private message to your local tax office explaining your situation and asking for guidance on making a delayed declaration.
The French tax return you should have completed for this year would have been for you income in 2025. Next year you will have to complete a tax return for the few months you still in France in 2026.
