Goodbye and good riddance.

2023 was a particularly crap year for those around me and from some of the posts for a number of you too.

Let's all hope for a much better 2024

Agree. But cant see 2024 being much better, with climate change, covid etc, and the way most of the world ignoring the huge middle east troubles, which to my mind will get much worse.all the time the yanks support Israel.
Maybe its just me being pessimistic with my two years of long covid and POTS. ( look it up)

POTS apparently became more prevalent during Covid,in a lot of cases it was thought due to people wearing really heavy PPE.A friend developed it ( in fact had her first episode on a shift with me) A few weeks later she was working in a heavy hot ED and collapsed ending up on the next trolley with her patient looking across shouting ‘Is she alright ‘

It must have been exhausting for hospital staff wearing PPE all the time, breathing through a mask in stressful situations, heat and dealing with something new - it's no wonder people are suffering now.
