Getting stuffed

I buy it in bulk catering packs, a kilo costs the same as three packets of "Paxo" it taste just the same, We always have it outside the bird, sometimes it goes in the oven, in a shallow tray ie school days type, or roll up in small balls and put in oven, or just mixed in a bowl, also add it to dumpling mixes to make a very nice herby dumpling.

Many moons ago we bought a catering pack of stuffing from Makro, put it unopened in to the cupboard and after a couple of weeks it literally exploded. The lid flew off and stuffing mix everywhere, God knows what was in it.

When I first arrived in England in 1970 I was having a hard time getting used to the food, everything fried or boiled to death. I discovered Paxo stuffing mix. On its own. A satisfying fast food snack.
On my headstone it will say: Please switch off mobile phones. I'm trying to get some sleep.

stick half a lemon in the bird with your stuffing that'll keep it moist. I make my own using breadcrumbs, dried sage & dried onion plus an egg to stick it all together - I think it's as good as paxo :D
With this hand, I will lift your sorrows. Your cup will never be empty, for I will be your wine. With this candle, I will light your way into darkness. With this ring, I ask you to be mine.........The Corpse Bride

Soak a slice of stale bread in milk, mix with sausage meat (sausisse de Toulouse), onions and prunes, herbs, salt & pepper and you've got your natural stuffing. Takes no time at all and is moist. Better than laboratory stuff.
