For example the large dark cloud on the left could be done in one click, most of the right hand cloud, leaving just the steeple to fiddle with.
Thanks Rockfish - can you recommend a cloning tool?

Gimp is a free photoshop-type software. It works very well though I rarely use it. You can use the cloning tool on there, and there are tutorials on Youtube.

Thanks Blaze - could never get on with gimp, probably my lack of patience - l will give it another go and report back.😈😁😈

OBR - I understand ! It isn't nearly as easy to use as Photoshop Elements which I had on my old computer. It's a software in the PC style, even though Mac compatible.
Otherwise there are paying softwares like Affinity which claims to be similar to Photoshop, but isn't nearly as complete ! But then it's a lot cheaper.

There's Darktable which is similar to Adobe Lightroom - but it's open source and free, it was first developed for linux but now has options for mac and windows as well.

It's quite good once you've got the hang of it.

Thank you Char, I'll take a closer look. I liked Lightroom, another software I had on an old computer that couldn't be simply updated.

I used it in photoshop years ago, but the updates, long ago, sent the tools and layout black and they brought out too many updates making it very expensive. These days I use pixlr E it's very like photoshop but online and FREE!

Whatever have I done to the quote???

You need to make sure there's a closed bracket after user_id=70 which you will see if you quote OBR's post :)
