Mattress topper

Trouble with choosing a new mattress is the small amount of time you have to try 'em out. I mean, you can't have a full on instore kip can you?
We've bought two new 'uns in the last couple of years & spent ages going from shop to shop lying on 'em for a few minutes & then on to the next. By the time we'd had a few hours bed hopping I still hadn't got a clue which was likely to be the best so left it to the missus to decide. Mind you, she was the one who decided that the mattress she chose not that long ago was not comfortable enough.
At the moment it appears that only one of the two new'uns suits her as I'm sure she's swopped one for t'other at least once since we bought 'em but still can't make up her mind.
Thankfully me & the dog sleep well on both.

Many holiday-makers to Spain get invited for a free tour, so long as they agree to go to a demonstration where they have the opportunity to buy very expensive quality mattresses.
after the demonstration the tourists get ride to some mountain lake which entails a coach journey of about 45 minutes to an hour during which they are subjected to a salesman with a Yorkshire accent trying to flog the passengers all manner of goods, Aloe Vera sticks in my mind.
Some of your post reminded me of what the sales team came out with. I remember that old mattresses are supposed to be heavier than new mattresses because of dead skin particles.
I seem to remember that according to the sales team a mattress should be changed every five years. Hmm!
