Mask wearing around here is pretty good. An acquaintance runs a shop in the nearest town who is severely at risk due to serious health issues. His gp refuses to allow him to have any jabs because he wants to cover his back in case of adverse reactions. So the other day some bozo walks into his shop without a mask. When challenged the guy says "I don't need one, I've had the jabs". The shop owner says.........."My shop. My rules." Out!Char wrote: ↑Fri Nov 12, 2021 1:19 pm I think the French gov were prepared for this to a certain extent they made sure children going back to school after Toussaint had to wear masks in class again.
Around this way it's very rare to see people not wearing masks, they wear them in the street not just when they go into a shop - You could spot the visitors here from all over France during Toussaint because the vast majority weren't wearing masks.
Apparently not the first time he's had complete idiots entering the shop.
On my headstone it will say: Please switch off mobile phones. I'm trying to get some sleep.

Wearing a mask in the old part of Saint Malo was obligatory until September, though it's still obligatory in shops. It's interesting to note that in other areas around here, a lot more oldies are wearing masks outside than they were, say, 6 months ago and there are also far fewer nose-droopers. Everyone wears them in shops and seem to be respectful of distancing and hand disinfection. The only offenders are probably the tourists (we all love blaming them !)

Now the UK "Red List" may be making a return along with hotel quarantine:
South Africa is being placed on a new travel red list from noon on Friday amid widespread concern over a new Covid-19 variant that has been detected in the country.
Neighbouring Botswana, Namibia, Zimbabwe, Eswatini (formerly Swaziland) and Lesotho will also be red-listed with flights temporarily banned.
