New Travel Regs - UK to/through France
A subject dear to my heart - with my second set of tests booked at lunchtime today.
This was reported yesterday - and promptly denied by the French Government.
Confusion as Eurotunnel say Brits with homes in the EU are BANNED from travelling through France to get to them due to Macron’s Covid crackdown – but French Interior Ministry assures travellers the firm are WRONG
see: https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/articl ... itons.html
edit - to return, having been through the various sites of the UK, French and Swiss Governments, I need to be able to produce:
Passport + Residency Permit
Vaccine + Booster Certificates
TAG <24 hrs France
PCR <72 hrs Switzerland
Health Declaration France
Residency Declaration France
Entry Declaration Switzerland
And just to complicate, I am switching phone provider today - so no idea if all the apps will work - so am decimating a rain forest to print everything off.

Ah, thought it was implying they wouldn't be able to travel BY CAR - would have to take a plane. Totally illogical under current circumstances, as you can keep to yourself in a car more than a plane! It was beginning to smack of Airlines leaning on other forms of transport, as their revenue has taken such a dive (pun not intended!)
Although, I'm never sure whether to take the Daily Fail seriously or not!

Think this should be in the Covid folder, as I'm told it has nothing to do with Brexshit.

HOWEVER - The first line reads " A spokesperson for the Interior Ministry has said Brits can access the Eurotunnel provided they have the correct documentation"
And lo and behold, a new form has appeared - CERTIFICATE FOR TRAVEL TO METROPOLITAN FRANCE

More muddle and confusion:
"*** 30/12 Update on British nationals transiting France ***
The French government have indicated to us that UK nationals travelling from the UK who are not resident in France will not be permitted to transit France to return to their country of residence, unless they are travelling by air.
We are urgently seeking further clarification from the French government and, in the meantime, advise UK nationals returning to other European countries via France to check with their carrier before travelling.

It seems they're trying to encourage more people to travel by air and not by car. I always thought more Covid was transmitted by flights than by people travelling in their own car bubble? Smacks of Airlines trying to reap back some lost revenue. Cynical, moi?!
