The vet couldn't find a problem, but we asked for an xray just to rule out hip or back problems, which MCs can be prone to because of their size. Hopefully it's nothing but tomorrow should tell us.

I hope they sort it out. Perhaps he's grown quickly and it takes time for muscles, ligaments etc to develop.
Give him a big cuddle from me 🐱

ANOTHER UPDATE... his xray is ok, but I was advised that I must keep an eye on him, as it could be slipping femoral epiphysis (not sure of the plural) which is a common problem with mainecoons. Basically the top of the hip slips out of the socket. We must try and stop him from jumping and running about, but this isn't difficult as he is so laid back. Another xray is suggested in 2 months. If it develops into this problem, surgery is the solution.

It sounds like a problem with growing. I hope he'll be okay.
