With this hand, I will lift your sorrows. Your cup will never be empty, for I will be your wine. With this candle, I will light your way into darkness. With this ring, I ask you to be mine.........The Corpse Bride

Forsythia, snow drops, daisies, dandelions mahonia all in flower, daffodils starting to bud. Brambles and Nettles are starting to take over again.
Lots of weeds shooting - can't get to the rest of the garden at the moment until I can get the brush cutter out. The lilac is starting to bud now.

Celandines and wood anemone carpeting the floor beside the river today, what a joyful sight with yellow flutterbies fluttering around.

Loads of blossom on our route to the dechetterie this morning. Lately I've seen both white and violet violets, daisies and today lesser celandine and cowslips. The lilac leaves are just about ready to unfurl and the magnolia is due to flower any day. Almost there ......................

In full swing here
The almond blossom's survived a light frost, Magnolias and Camellias flowering their socks off and the first peach blossom is out. Daffies, japanese quince, corsican hellebores and euphorbias are doing their stuff

Probably a good month behind that Quiksilver. Some Crocus and snowdrops are in full flower but more of both still to come. Beyond that we have a variety of primulas that are starting to flower including cowslips, primrose etc..
The second crop broccoli* is coming on nicely though.
* We crop the autumn broccoli by cutting off the heads but leaving the plants in the ground. In the spring those plants that survive winter will then try and send up a host of mini broccoli heads - not as big as the main crop but generally bigger than the purple sprouting broccoli that will follow in another month.

Way behind many others, being down near the river. A few daffs showing their heads, a couple of hawthorns - and whatever a plum was grafted on, the plum part died, but the grafted bit was allowed to go crazy, and it's in full blossom and smells lovely!
Similar to exile's broccoli, we had kale growing from last summer - taking the tops off some to let the rest grow. Now it's heated up a little in the polytunnel, they're going crazy (swan song, as they'll all have to come out soon when we put other stuff in!). The chives have roared into life again, almost over night, and the parsley is going for it. Need to clear out the dead leaves in the old wheelbarrows that are full of strawberry plants - as they're waking up again.
Lots new iris plants coming up too - planted a load of bulbs that were overflow from a client's garden who didn't want them. Might get a good show of flowers this year. Even like the leaves of iris - nice spiky shape.

Woodpeckers drumming, bees and butterflies. However looking at our garden photos from last year the plant life is a week or two behind. We had a fully flowering Camellia last year but just a few out at the moment and others are behind such as daffs.

Yes, bees and butterflies already out and about. In a couple of clients' garden, the buxus buis are flowering and the bees are all over them!
Also am seeing some daisies popping up - such a joy to see, and I can't understand why people don't like them in their lawns. They're little bursts of happy colour in an otherwise useless patch of green!
