Life used to be so easy, sunshine, two cats in the yard and simple manual focus, diaphragm and speed adjustments with my old analogue Nikons (Ftn, FM). Now you have to scroll down not intuitive menu items. A few days ago a try-out with my smartphone:

What programme do you use to edit the video with?

If I am just using the snapshots I don't need an editor, I just stop the playback at the required point, click 'view' (I think) then 'snapshot' and it is transferred automatically to the Picture file on the computer.

If I am uploading to You Tube and need to edit out the bits I don't need I use Movavi 12, it is possible that there are later versions but if it ain't broke don't fix it and I am happy the way it is. It first saves the edit to my own appropriate file then, if I have required it, uploads to my YT channel.

This 18 second video was edited by Movavi from several minutes of waiting after many more abortive attempts to catch Jules dancing. Something he does from time to time without any warning. I waited a month for this 18 seconds. Of course it is not an example of a snapshot, the best one recently that I have already mentioned was Mr. Toad.

Interesting the use of videos , I did the opposite and used stills to make a video back in 2012 using the sports feature on many cameras

That is really good [mention]basquesteve[/mention] , before I hit upon the video idea I tried the rapid burst of stills feature of my camera, but too often got blurred results. Obviously my equipment is not the equal of yours. With a video I play it back and can choose precisely the clear image I want each time.

Thanks Blaze, they're tiny and look like they're possibly buds or little thorns easily missed. I think they're cute.

That's an incredible photo Char, especially when you tell us this creature is so tiny. I assume those are 3 water droplets on its back?

Oh, and by the way, what is it?
