Now the moles
I have never ever removed a dead mole, no point. The trick is managing to kill them in order to leave them there as a deterrent.
On my headstone it will say: Please switch off mobile phones. I'm trying to get some sleep.

I did once - after a detaupeur "kill" - and apart from a little blood on nose it was intact.
It was at same time as we found a dead bat - made an interesting biology lesson for the children.

The detaupeur works a treat, since it arrived in the postbox I haven't seen hide nor hair of the little bugger

At least you won't have to buy more expensive petards.
Magpies (or crows?) used to steal the little red topped trigger things, setting off the charge.
Problem stopped after I started painting the red bit black.

Ah but the worms go deeper to find humid soil as the top surfaces dry out in hot weather & Moley goes deeper to find Wormy.
They'll be back the moment it rains

I put a bucket over the top to stop our enquisitive moggy shoving a paw down the hole & getting an impromtu manicure.
It's also a good marker to stop me running over the thing when I mow the lawn.

yes, I put a bucket over it and weight it with a heavy stone to stop the cats or the wind knocking it over.

The humble dandelion's fight against Covid...
You aren't kidding !!! Mowing today I must have walked over dozens of mole holes. I presume this means planting any sort of vegetable garden will be a huge failure??
