Another cheesy bargain
Our local cheese shop can't sell the remnants of their large rounds of gorganzola as the locals aren't interested.
On my wife's suggestion she sells the crusty remains to the next door resto. where the chef uses it in sauces & keeps some for us as & when.
Last week my wife went in to buy some cheese & was offered this beauty which she'd kept in the fridge for us.
Eight euros for 2.2 kg of mostly cheese was an absolute bargain & it's now been portioned & reposing in our freezer.
Result!

oops sorry but not for me...........

With this hand, I will lift your sorrows. Your cup will never be empty, for I will be your wine. With this candle, I will light your way into darkness. With this ring, I ask you to be mine.........The Corpse Bride

Ah right. Each to their own.
I've got an eclectic taste in cheese.
For breakfast I like a couple of fingers of mild Comté with my toast but venture off piste for lunch if it involves cheese & wine when the more 'farmyard' aromas such as Pont L’Eveque usually tickle my senses.
Basically, I love all cheeses

I'm fascinated how some of the most disgusting smelling cheeses can taste so good.
Not only cheese but I'm reminded of the smell of cooking cabbage, cauliflower, and asparagus. Makes me want to vomit. in those cases I wouldn't eat them if I was starving.

On my headstone it will say: Please switch off mobile phones. I'm trying to get some sleep.
