From another of his songs/poems about visiting a night club

It was so dim and dingy there
I went a pearler down the stair
"Did you miss the step then son?"
"No. I hit every bl**dy one"

from memory so may not be absolutely word perfect.
Those words are from Fred Wedlock’s song Talking Folk Blues or something.🙂

Thank you for that Dominic - such memories - and now tears of laughter streaming down my face.

I recognised your words immediately as I still have a lot of Fred Wedlock lyrics living in my head. What amazed me was quite how many of the lyrics I remember were in that one track. I think I might be watching a few more YouTube gems over the next few weeks.

It amuses us when tv presenters thank you for "tuning in". Haven't done that since the 1950s. Get the horizontal and vertical holds sorted, then contrast and brightness corrected and you're tuned in

Then the kid next door fires up his CB radio and the whole lot goes into snow storm mode.
On my headstone it will say: Please switch off mobile phones. I'm trying to get some sleep.

I had a few complaints when on the CB with me boots on, the aerial was in plain sight on the rear fascia board, it was amazing how far you could get out to with those connected.
