@Niftyons - He received your EMail about a week ago but doesn't have a clue who Nigel is so has ignored it. That's what he posted in another place. Perhaps send him another with a better explanation as to who you are and why you are reaching out

Hi again OBR
Judging by your last message you have had previous contact with Spado
it may be as well if you could forward this-
Hi, David,
You do not know me personally.
Judging by your posts on French forums that I have been on
(over the last twenty years! Is it that time already?)
I understand that you were in the Merchant Navy.
I wondered where you might have trained as I am researching my stepfather Peter Reynolds who was a navigator with BISN from 1943 until abt 1956. I think he started training at Chatham but am not sure on this. I am sure that there must be some more information somewhere as I have visited the National Archive and seen what info is in his Seaman’s Pouch and, judging by the stories that I remember him telling me and the pictures that he took that I have seen, I think there must be more to it as all the ships he was on, nor some other details regarding him that I have found through other sources are mentioned.
Best wishes
Nigel

Comedy is as serious business. Anyone who has seen The Comedians should know that.
‘ The traitor distrusts truth’ and all that.
Btw. I thought that I was sending a pm.
Come to think of it, even it is not that funny that I can be embarrassed by my name,
It is of no great matter of confidentiality.
