I guess that's because you are using a phone. I get emails to my desktop telling me that my monthly balance is now online and available to see. They don't post the balance for any hacker or eavesdropper to see. It seems a pointless exercise anyway because I can log in any time to see the running balance. I don't need to be told it is there.
On my headstone it will say: Please switch off mobile phones. I'm trying to get some sleep.

I suspect the ease of getting the withdrawal limit increased is at least partly due to HSBC speaking English.Lori wrote: ↑Wed Oct 11, 2023 6:34 pm We are with HSBC and you can request an increase of your plafond online in your espace client OR via telephone. It can be for whatever period you think you will need it and set at whatever limit you think you need.
We've never had a problem getting the request approved. And it was rather high when we were renovating the house. They didn't have a problem making the adjustment and it was done in 24 hours.

Ah, if that were only the case. Our HSBC account is with HSBC France. No one speaks English. All our conversations with our bank adviser and the bank itself are in French.
