Not so much a joke, but hopefully a funny story! One place where I garden, an English builder is sometimes present. He has strong opinions about everything, and once he starts talking, it's difficult to shut him up! We rarely agree on anything, and being a typical builder, cares not for the debris of his work affecting the clients' garden, which really p*sses me off, and I say so.
Although he's not a woman (but he has a scraggy grey pigtail ...), this pretty much sums us up and I sent it to the clients because they know he "sucks the joy out of my working day" and I cannot be there when he is!
It's an ongoing joke, and last time he was there with two French helpers ('cos he cut some of his thumb off with the circular saw), I had to reprimand him yet again for not closing the gate to the pool area properly. As I was closing the driveway gate upon leaving, having driven the van through, one of the French guys sang the line "Love is in the Air", to which I replied "Oh no it isn't!"
