Not that I am a great darts fan and am watching this "sport" avidly, but my attention was drawn to this Luke Littler, who reached the final and the claim that he is 16 years old. Either I am getting old or he was born on a leap year, but he looks a good 10 years older than he claims to be. It has been mentioned that he could not partake of any alcohol, but he appears to have the standard dart players beer belly, no advertising of the sponsor was allowed on his shirt, due to his age. Seems a bit suspicious to me.

He's almost 17 (at the end of January) and rather than having a beer gut, he's just looks very overweight, possibly due to bad diet and little exercise.
However, clearly someone who is very talented and single-minded and will probably go far !

Let's hope he's not going to be another one and done - Like Emma Raducanu - who seemed to let the fame and commercial contracts distract her.

He probably gets more exercise than most teenagers who seem to spend most of their days stuck on a games console or superglued to a smartphone. Sorry but he doesn't look 16.

He told an interviewer that he has been able to grow a beard since he was 14.

I heard him saying that he’s lost a lot of weight recently and improved his fitness because of the energy he needs to get through a match. The thing that amazed me was the earning potential as a darts player.
