Just this minute closed the window on the article of that utter, revolting, obscenity. Yuk, yuk, yuk! If you put me on that vessel (kicking and screaming), I'd think I'd died and been sent to hell!

Definitely a step in the wrong direction regarding environmental issues - but money always talks and it doesn't care about the planet.

Just in case anyone was left in any doubt as to my feelings - it's a big fat NO from me!

When I look at these ships I wonder how stable they really are - not just an environmental danger. I also do not like it is flagged in Nassau - obviously to allow reduced costs and possible corner-cutting.

However, with 7600 passengers, that is the equivalent of 38 Boeing 737s - maybe Andy can do some calculations for us in terms of Kg CO2 / Km of each?

And no - not my cup of tea either.

Another one here for the no no. It looks like a floating Glasgow housing scheme. How anyone could want to go on holiday cheek by jowl with others in such a confined space beats me. Surely it would be more comfortable for people with that sort of money to charter one of those luxury "motor yachts".
But if that monstrosity is to appeal to rich Orientals, then the proximity would not bother them.

An accident like the Costa Concordia would be catastrophic in terms of human lives and pollution.
