One for Headers
Getting ready to use the beast when it occurred to me that it was going to be a struggle to single handedly hold up the drawbar whilst raising the foot prior to attaching to towing vehicle.
A trip to our local Agri store & 36 euro spent on a jocky wheel.. One existing hole, one new hole plus two bolts & Bob's yer uncle. Simple to do and easier to manoeuvre now.

What a beauty.
Had my first go this morning & demolished a big heap of branches in no time.
Shot the chippings straight into the chook enclosure so easy.

@L Austin France Have you bought anything from them recently? We are on the verge of buying a brush clearing machine (débroussailleuse a fléaux).
Have seen some less that satisfactory reports about them recently and there also many very similar machines appearing on various websites including Agrieuro. I’m very nervous about which way to go.

Nothing since but I'm just about to buy one of these https://www.amazon.fr/hillvert-HT-GT-60 ... B0C2Z2CBV5 (lots of other sellers) to augment a very similar but push along version by another manufacturer. Hillvert seem to have a good rep.
If this is the sort of thing your looking for I can recommend the type which whacks down most stuff we ask it to.

Thanks for that - we have a Hayter wheeled strimmer that has worked well for us over the past 20 years but we are looking for something a bit meatier and has flails rather than line.

Have you considered a 3 point axial débroussailleuse to run behind your mini tractor.
I've got a 1.95m Del Morino monster I use to keep our field under control. New self propelled strimmer is required to get at the fiddly places the tractor & monster have difficulty reaching.__

we’ve got a ferri flail for the tractor. We need something smaller to get into places we can’t get the big beast and that are too much for the little one.

@L Austin France I remember you managed to negotiate a reduction when you bought your chipper so I wrote back to Agricolt and they have offered me an additional 5% reduction and a free set of replacement drive belts. We also agreed to defer placing our order until June and they were ok with that. Fingers crossed. If it is as good as the chipper we’ll be very happy.
