Getting back to the topic ....

At 17h the turnout to vote in the first round was 59.39%, higher than in 2022. Is the enthusiasm to vote down to fear of the RN getting in ??

It'll be interesting to see what Melenchon's alliance produces ...

Having heard endless complaints about Macron's government ever since he got in, I doubt "the people" will be very happy if Attal wins. Same old song "I only voted for him to keep the RN (Bardella) out".
That said, today was just the first round ... results sometime this evening ....

I can't vote, but noticed that our little polling station was busy this morning with a small queue . Last time We ended up with RN winning because Macron played silly buggers by withdrawing his candidate from the second round of voting because he feared Melanchon and the left. I don't think that will happen again......
