This lovely cabane in the vineyards above Gironde-sur-Dropt has a lintel dated 1834 - likely renovated a little since then.

It may well be that Prince Albert once looked out through this window of Friedenstein Castle in Gotha, into this courtyard.

Now imagine that courtyard full of trees, horses and carriages. Some people just have to mess things up.

Not in the courtyard of a royal palace I would suggest. There would be a team of servants to ensure the yard stayed spotless.

Let's step inside another interesting old building. I've always been impressed by the graphic designer Escher and his impossible stairs. Not to forget Sky and Water.

A flashback when looking down, stairway to the first floor, an interesting interplay of lines.
