That is the problem with the American voting system. It was enough for Trump to win the Electoral College vote and the popular vote, never mind whether the majority of voters didn't vote for him. It's a faulty system which is complicated - a bit like how big UK unions used block votes.
The worry now is that Trump will give himself powers to stay in power for life, which may not be long ..... but who would take his place ? JDV which could be even worse.

Wiki disagrees. it shows Trump with 49.8% of the votes versus 48.3% for Harris.

This is different to his previous 2016 win where he did hold the minority vote.

I agree, but if you listen to his followers, the majority of them seem to be quite happy with his performance, even those who have lost their jobs. That pretty much sums it up for me. Sadly, I believe that if a second election was held today - after all his mayhem - he'd win again.

He most certainly will. And though he may not have that many more years ahead of him, he will designate his successor and the damage they will cause will be dreadful.

Evidently he has negotiated buying back the Panama canal, be funny if he cocked up and has bought the Suez, London Bridge syndrome. Next on the list is Greenland, possibly when peace reigns in Ukraine he can hire Russian mercenaries to do all the work for him.

Donald Trump says he's considering new sanctions and tariffs on Russia, following a wave of overnight strikes on Ukraine.
He writes: "Based on the fact that Russia is absolutely 'pounding' Ukraine on the battlefield right now, I am strongly considering large scale Banking Sanctions, Sanctions, and Tariffs on Russia until a Cease Fire and FINAL SETTLEMENT AGREEMENT ON PEACE IS REACHED.
"To Russia and Ukraine, get to the table right now, before it is too late. Thank you!!!"

The important word there is "considering". Lip service as far as I'm concerned.
