Speaking of visits, when/if Trump arrives in the UK to visit HM, I think that people, instead of flying that silly balloon, chanting, and shouting, should simply LAUGH AT HIM, as long and as loud as they can. That would make more impression on him than anything else.

I belong to a members only American guitar forum which has a section entitled Dead Grotty where anything goes.
Since Comrade Trumpski's renaissance I've been posting links from European media showing him for what he is.
Out of a stated membership of about 3,500 there's a cabal of 6 -8 hardened MAGA types who post the most offensive remarks to all of my posts & refuse to believe anything coming from this side if the pond.
They've tried all sorts of vile insults & bullying tactics to get me to desist but what started out as a genuine post by me asking for the American view on these links has now become a challenge so I continue to politely & regularly post any new Trump articles which inevitably piss 'em off even more.

Very thin skinned people, not unlike their prophet in that regard. See what they say when they can no longer afford the weekly trip to the grocery store, the utilities for their homes, the parts to maintain their vehicles, the medicines/care they need to stay alive and their 401k retirement funds wither to nothing. Oh, that is IF they get to keep their jobs.

My encounters with the diehard MAGA followers is that they are some of the most foul, ill mannered, rude, angry and armed people I have ever come across.

Wait until they realise their new demigod is a close buddy of Putin. When I was a kid in US we were always told that the Russians were the bad guys and never to let our guard down. Now Orange man seems to be doing Putin's bidding and getting nothing in return.

I have to admit there is a lot of misinformation online these days and it is very difficult to get at the truth. I spent a rainy day a while back following accusations about just how close Trump is to Putin. All the way to various claims that he has been played by the Russians since the 80s. Very hard to believe but not impossible given his recent actions. So glad I escaped many years ago.
