Just as well that mine is valid until 2038 then.😁
Won’t yours become invalid in 2033 with the rest of them?

@widge Presumably it's just a medical every 5 years for the C1 ? The B part for driving a car is valid for 15 years and doesn't need one.

I'd love a credit card sized license. I got my French license exchange in August 2013 and it is paper with the first 1/3 under a plastic laminate. Its a pain because it doesn't fit in an ordinary wallet.
On my headstone it will say: Please switch off mobile phones. I'm trying to get some sleep.

Quite agree with you it will be manic as usual cos 2033 is the end date for all paper licences. OH has one but he is determined not to swap it until 2033 when he doesn't have a choice - he reckons that then when he gets the plastic card he will be almost 80 yrs and says if he lives that long the new card will give him 15 years without having to take a medical by which time he thinks he will be either using a taxi service or he'll be...........long dead !
With this hand, I will lift your sorrows. Your cup will never be empty, for I will be your wine. With this candle, I will light your way into darkness. With this ring, I ask you to be mine.........The Corpse Bride

Fixit and I both have pink paper licences, each with the photo of some smiling young person on them.
Fixit can't see to drive but hasn't handed his licence in as if, miracles do happen, his double vision disappears of it's own accord (the docs say it may) he might be able to get glasses and drive again.
How do people live without at least one dog in the house?
