Too cloudy here too, but the previous night’s moon was unusually bright.

I ddn’t see it either, but loved looking at the beaver moon around the world on the BBC website - hope it copies!

Might be untypical but I am loving it - saving on heating & able to finish stuff in the garden and it cuts winter a bit short. No complaints chez moi!

I agree with you Demi, but unfortunately with the mild weather we are getting lots of heavy rain, which makes it difficult to complete outdoor activities.

Too cloudy to see anything here, but still very bright outside late last night (shortly before midnight). Obviously an opportunity for a rogue night chasseur to scan my fields in front of our house - but also using a spotlight. Then driving on up the chemin, and 5 minutes later the valley rings out with an almighty fricking shot, as they must have fired from the road behind our house. Then, 5 seconds later, the vehicle speeds back past our house at lightning speed. I thanked the light sky for helping me check my outdoor animals were ok (and hadn't accidentally been in the line of fire), but still no sighting of the moon.

Isn't it illegal to shoot at night, from the road, very close to someone's house? Bucking fastards - not much sleep happening after that! Grumpy? You bet I am! I checked along the road this morning to see if there was a dying creature in the vicinity .... haven't found anything so far - let's hope the feckers cleanly missed their target.
