Normally the "strikes" correspond with a public holiday on a Monday or Friday to make a long weekend (or am I just a cynic).

These people are asking for homes in Britain to be offered better insulation, with Govt. help. Which would in turn help reduce residents' bills, and reduce emissions. So why wouldn't Cruella Patella be in favour of it???

The problem with their argument is that the grants are already available for the poorer consumers - https://www.which.co.uk/reviews/home-gr ... AZv8p9hGkY - so I wonder what their agenda really is.

Not only that, but insulation workers were amongst those prevented from working.

As for Pritti - assuming she does actually manage to follow up her rhetoric with action - it was predictable they would legislate and go OTT - as I said in an earlier post - so in the future people protesting outside their local council office may get swept up by the legislation.

Monsieur Che Martinez always calls for a general strike after the hols or before the Bac. He needs to spout revolutionary charabia and keep himself in the public eye, be interviewed / have his droopy 'tache filmed on TV, etc. He once famously said that given the choice, he wouldn't work at all!

What they always do. Increase unit charges.

Fewer units x higher unit charges = same or more income.

[Now that is a cynical view. However probably close to the truth.]
