Switzerland where a few days after the Snow Polo World Cup and shortly before the traditional White Turf equestrian event, the exclusive winter sports resort of St. Moritz celebrated another highlight of the year on the last weekend in January: The I. Interesting VWs in Bremen, the Classic Motorshow 2026: on rails and a rather special version for one of the first trackless tourist trains. A modified VW Beetle as the standard locomotive. From the mid-1950s onwards, it was used as the ‘Dune Express’ on the North Sea island of Norderney. That must have been an amazing experience for many children at the time, albeit a little more modest than the huge amusement parks of today. And yet, a day at the beach, the abundant sunlight, slightly salty sea breeze, a ride on that little train and then a whole day on the beach... fantastic, I'd sign up for that any day, wouldn't you?
