It looks as if the Correspondant's Dinner was interrupted ....
Apparently the suspect said he was targeting officials close to Trump. Yet as usual, Trump has managed to turn everything back to himself.

Unbelievable. A statesman like Barak Obama would have simply said that the risks go with the job.

He said it was "always shocking when this happens, that never changes", noting that the first lady was "rather traumatised" by the incident.

Rather traumatised ??? I should think she was bloody terrified.
Trump immediately posted his thoughts on social media. He'd wanted the dinner to continue but was told it couldn't.
